About a year ago, a friend of mine was in the Philippines visiting her sister who was working in a pregnancy clinic. The clinic was no more than a glorified shack in the filthy slums of Manila. While there, she was able to get a glimpse of real poverty... Unplanned and unwanted babies, whose mothers had little hope and peace... Her heart broke with sadness for these poor souls, making her realize how much mercy she has received and how desperately she needed it. How much more, then, should we show mercy to others when given the chance?
